As the Saturday’s final round of USDGC 2016 was forced to be cancelled due to hurricane Matthew, the Friday’s 3rd round remained as the final round of the event.
Due to overwhelming weather conditions at Rock Hill, South Carolina, the tournament officials along with the PDGA decided not to allow the final round of the USDGC to be played. While the USDGC and DGWT Staff would have wished for a better ending, all parties agreed that player safety is a matter that holds the uttermost importance.

Dear Players & Staff, Round 4 of the USDGC has been Cancelled. This was not an easy decision to make. Postponing the round would have caused many logistical problems for both our players and staff. Since many of you have traveled to get here, rescheduling hotel and flight accommodations on such short notice would have proved to be very difficult…
Due to the extreme weather, the Dean’s Cup Finals for Saturday have been canceled. All four college teams including Augusta University, Oregon, NC State, and Liberty showed great spirit in tough, wet conditions during the first round of the Dean’s Cup on Friday. Everyone at the USDGC looks forward to hosting the Dean’s Cup next year.
