Throw Pink Event in Rock Hill

Let your hair down, play disc golf, get some exercise, meet new friends, and help put an end to breast cancer… all before lunch time.

Come join us at Fewell Park in Rock Hill, S.C., on October 4th for Throw Pink. Ladies of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend.

It all starts with a disc golf instructional clinic at 9 a.m. that will get new players on their feet and refine the skills of those that have played before. A casual round will follow on the beginner friendly Fewell Park course. Everything will wrap up by noon. Play singles, or bring your own partner, or we can pair you up with a partner.

The $10 fee includes the round of disc golf, a Throw Pink t-shirt, a ticket to the United States Disc Golf Championship (final round is also Oct. 4th.), and a donation to a breast cancer charity.

If you don’t have discs, that’s not a problem. There will be plenty available to use. Drinks and snacks will also be provided. Gift certificates and trophies will be awarded for individual and team play.

Pre-register online to ensure your shirt size at Disc Golf United. An additional $1.50 will be donated to the charity for each person who signs up online in advance.
Or, sign up on site. (Be sure to arrive 30 minutes early).

Throw Pink is a series of events that take place from March to October with the goal of raising money for breast cancer charities, while encouraging women and girls to learn and play disc golf.

In its first season of action, Throw Pink has already had an event in Wilmington, N.C., and it had a presence at the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships in North Augusta, S.C., as well as the Magnolia Open – an all-female event held in Appling, GA.

Plus, Throw Pink was also featured at a women’s clinic in Atlanta, which had a particularly good impact.
“This event was a jump start for many new girls who are now hooked on disc golf and are avid Throw Pink supporters,” said Throw Pink founder Sara Nicholson in an email.
Another event, the Florida Wild Flowers Throw Pink Event will be Oct. 25th in Orlando, FL.
