Rock Hill, S.C. — Tee off to 4-days filled with disc golf, live music, over 40 vendors, and more than 10 food trucks at the 26th United States Disc Golf Championship and 2nd Fresh and Now concert festival Oct 10-13 at Winthrop University. Each day of the championship features new experiences for both the local community and disc golf enthusiasts.
Highlights of the Week:
- October 10: Fan Appreciation Day – Kick off the festivities with discounted day passes, in addition to all kids and military receiving free entry, and a live performance by Treehouse in the evening. It’s a day dedicated to celebrating fans!
- October 11: Throw Pink Women’s Day – Women enjoy free admission, a lively mimosa party, and an evening performance by Karina Rykman, followed by a dance party with DJ Rivka Ruth. In partnership with The Blood Connection, attendees can also donate blood from 11:30-7:30.
- October 12: Family Adventure Day – Fun for all ages with a kids’ zone featuring corn hole, mini golf, and one-wheel demos. Finish the day with a live performance by Perpetual Groove & Friends.
- October 13: Championship Sunday – Witness the crowning of the US Disc Golf Champion, see players throw across Winthrop Lake in the Distance Championship, and enjoy a live performance by Clayon Q following the awards ceremony.
“We have a different band each night in Championship Village. We’ve got 40+ vendors, more than 10 food trucks, there’s an artist alley, just a high energy area where the community can come together and just enjoy the celebration for the week,” said Jonathan Poole, USDGC tournament director.
Tickets can be purchased in advance on Disc Golf United’s website or during the festival at the ticket booth. All the festivities will be streamed live by Disc Golf Network. For those looking for an elevated experience, private Yurt rentals are available on Disc Golf United.
