Round three · Winthrop Arena
Saturday’s rain made an under-par round hard to come by at Winthrop. Only eight USDGC players and four Throw Pink players managed it. Gannon Buhr and Ohn Scoggins held their leads, but Calvin Heimburg’s finish changed the USDGC chase.
BUHR HOLDS HIS LEAD
Buhr shot a 1-under 62 to reach 20 under overall. A double bogey on Hole 5 was his only score over par. He made birdies on 14, 17, and 18, closing with two straight to carry the same margin into Sunday.

Ricky Wysocki briefly went ahead. His eagle on Hole 10 put him at 18 under, one stroke in front of Buhr. A double bogey on 11 gave the lead back, and Wysocki finished with a 2-over 65. He finished the day third at 13 under.
Heimburg birdied five of his last six holes to shoot 59, the day’s lowest USDGC round. He moved from a tie for seventh to second at 16 under, four behind Buhr.

Niklas Anttila shot 61 to move into fourth at 12 under. That put him on Sunday’s lead card with Buhr, Heimburg, and Wysocki. Isaac Robinson and Anthony Barela shared fifth at 11 under.
Jake Monn, who began Saturday tied for second, shot 72 and dropped to a tie for 11th at 6 under.
SCOGGINS AND HANDLEY, ONE APART
Scoggins and Holyn Handley both shot 2-under 67s. Scoggins led at 15 under, with Handley at 14 under and one round left.
Scoggins recovered from a double bogey on Hole 3 with a bogey-free back nine. A birdie on 17 stretched her lead to two. On 18, Scoggins made birdie and Handley made eagle, bringing the gap back to one.

Eveliina Salonen and Silva Saarinen shared the day’s best Throw Pink score with 3-under 66s. Salonen moved into third at 10 under. Saarinen climbed eight places to fourth at 5 under, earning the final spot on the lead card.
Valerie Mandujano finished the day fifth at 4 under after a 73. MJ Gager, third after Friday’s 62, shot 80 and dropped to ninth at even par.
