After two rounds of USDGC Doubles the Hopkins/Shindledecker team of North Carolina have taken sole ownership of the lead and go into the final round on Sunday with an 8 stroke cushion.
The teams will remain at the Camp Canaan Riverbend Gold Course in Rock Hill for a final round of Captains Choice format. For Final Round tee times and standings go here.
Hopkins/Shindledecker were tied for the lead after Round 1 at the Winthrop Gold Course but after shooting -10 at Canaan, 5 strokes better than the next best score, they established a comfortable lead. Holley/Sutton from Alabama and Morgan/Furr of North Carolina are tied for second at -10 for the tournament.
The Riverbend Gold Course is known for its epic woodsy shots. We’ll see if the leaders can be caught.
