USDGC Official Weather Update — October 10th

Championship Weekend continues at Winthrop University as the USDGC and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship closely monitor changing weather conditions associated with Post-Tropical Storm Isaias.

Rain and gusty winds are expected throughout Saturday, with additional rainfall and possible thunderstorms continuing into Sunday.

At this time, both championships remain scheduled to proceed as planned. No schedule changes have been announced.

Disc golf competition can continue in normal rainy conditions. However, lightning, severe winds, thunderstorms, or other unsafe conditions may require temporary suspensions or adjustments to the competition schedule.

The safety of our athletes, spectators, volunteers, and staff remains our highest priority.

Tournament officials and our event safety team continue monitoring conditions closely. Any necessary schedule changes or safety announcements will be communicated promptly through official USDGC channels.

Fans attending Championship Weekend are encouraged to prepare for wet and windy conditions, wear appropriate footwear, and follow instructions from event staff.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work to provide a safe and memorable Championship Weekend at Winthrop University.
