The 2024 United States Disc Golf Championship is almost here, and this year’s event is shaping up to be a week of disc golf action, unforgettable experiences, and community fun. Whether you’re a die-hard disc golf fan or just looking to enjoy a day out, the Championship Village and Fan Hospitality Pavilion have something for everyone.
From exciting watch parties to exclusive coaching sessions, we’ve got four jam-packed days of activities you don’t want to miss. Here’s what’s happening every day at the USDGC!
Thursday: Kickoff with Disc Golf Fun!
Start your USDGC experience with a Throw Pink Watch Party at 9:00 AM, where you can watch all the action along with special guests providing “live” commentary and sharing disc golf stories. As the day continues, there will be many “points of interest” around Championship Village and the Fan Hospitality Pavilion. And, don’t miss the Noon “Vibe” Show at 12:00 PM, featuring the charismatic Grant Zellner and Jeff “Wombat” Panis – it’s the perfect mix of disc golf talk and entertainment.
At 1:00 PM, get hands-on with a Disc Golf Instructional Hour led by a special guest teacher. This is your chance to up your game with tips from the pros. Then, at 3:00 PM, join disc golf legend Ken Climo and other friends for a USDGC Watch Party. The day wraps with the Fresh & Now Concert Series featuring Treehouse!
Friday: Learn and Grow the Sport
Friday kicks off with another Throw Pink Watch Party at 9:00 AM, and the action doesn’t stop there. At 11:00 AM, join Jay “Yeti” Reading and EDGE for a session on Growing the Sport in Your Community. Learn how you can bring disc golf to new places and help grow the next generation of players. Then catch the Noon “Vibe” Show with Grant and the Wombat.
At 1:00 PM, take your skills to the next level with a Team3 Coaching Session, focusing on Tournament Play Strategy. Then, enjoy another USDGC Watch Party at 3:00 PM with surprise watch-along guests… and Ken Climo himself joins mid-round – because what’s better than watching championship-level disc golf with the champ himself?
And yep, there’s more surprises in-between all this action, and another Fresh & Now concert ends the day, this time with Karina Rykman, and a Dance Party w/DJ Rivka Ruth.
Saturday: Big Events, Big Fun!
Saturday is stacked with special events! The day kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Throw Pink Watch Party, but that’s just the beginning. At 11:00 AM, check out the Oak City Onewheel Event – a unique crossover of sports that’s sure to be a blast.
At 11:30 AM, witness disc golf history in the making as the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame Class of ‘24 is honored. Then, after catching up with Grant and Wombat at Noon, at 12:30 PM, join an inspiring session on Engaging Women in Disc Golf with Des Reading and The Wildflower Tour.
For those looking to sharpen their skills, the Team3 Coaching Session at 1:00 PM will cover Disc Golf Biomechanics, teaching you how to perfect your form. And, of course, another USDGC Watch Party with Ken Climo and other guests starts at 3:00 PM wraps up the day’s action. Saturday night’s Fresh & Now Concert Series features Perpetual Groove & Friends, and a special appearance by DJ KJ USA (Kevin Jones).
Sunday: The Grand Finale
It’s the last day of the championship, but we’re ending it with a bang. Start your Sunday with the Throw Pink Watch Party at 9:00 AM, followed by another World Disc Golf Hall of Fame Presentation at 11:30 AM.
At 1:00 PM, join the final Team3 Coaching Session, where the focus will be on Disc Golf Injuries and Prevention – essential knowledge for any serious player. Then, cap off your USDGC experience with one more USDGC Watch Party with Ken Climo and others at 3:00 PM.
The final Fresh & Now Concert Series performance by Clayton Q wraps the weekend!
